In 1977, he entered the Fac©₩↑ ulty of Medicine of Hubei Medica÷↕₹l University (now the School of Medicine of ∑±↔Wuhan University).
In 1982, he received☆↑∏ a bachelor's degree in medicine from ₽≥Hubei Medical University.
¶♣¶In 1985, he obtained a master's d↕∞₩egree in obstetrics and gynecol<₽¥™ogy from Hubei Medical University.
He we✔&↔≈nt to Belgium for further study in 1989 and re≤∏δ₩ceived a master's degree in biomedici÷ne from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgiu÷β®αm in 1991.
From 1992 to 1995,★© he served as the chief dire ☆ctor of the ICSI technology startup and th∑≤π♣e director of the preimplantation ✔↔←genetic diagnosis (PGD) laboratory.∏λ'
In 1995, he received ©δhis PhD in biomedicine from♣→ Vrije Universiteit Brusse≠βl, Belgium.
